Heart Failure
The function of the heart is to pump blood around the body and provide adequate blood supply to other vital organs such as the brain and kidneys. The heart muscle can become damaged in many ways such as after a heart attack. The heart is then no longer able to pump enough blood to supply the other organs in the body. This is called heart failure.
